More Than Coffee. Family History.

This isn't just about sourcing beans — it's about honoring where they come from, and where I come from.

Cayón is named after my grandmother's hometown in Northern Spain. As a wife, mother, and woman-owned business shaped by both my Dominican and Spanish heritage, every batch connects me to two cultures that understand slow mornings, kitchen-table conversations, and coffee as ritual.

I grew up surrounded by those mornings — coffee brewing in the kitchen, conversation flowing, and the small rituals that brought people together. Now I'm building that same warmth for my own family in Austin, Texas, while sharing the coffee I grew up drinking.

I didn't start this to build a brand. I started it because I missed the taste of home — the Dominican Republic's sea breeze and rich soil, where coffee grows slower, stronger, and with more character than anywhere else.

My background is in sustainability — I worked for Fairtrade in Germany and with organic certification bodies. So when I say "responsibly sourced," it's not a marketing buzzword. It's the standard I've built my career around.

And because I believe good things should give back: every bag supports dog rescue efforts in the Dominican Republic.

About the Founder

I'm a wife, a mother, a dog lover, and a stubborn believer that coffee should taste like home. Austin is where I roast this stuff, but my heart's split between the Dominican Republic where it grows and Spain where my family's story began.
